New Internet subscription, among other things, for telework.

In my new residence in France, I'd like to get an Internet connection (ADSL and fiber available). And I'm not sure if the free offer (Freebox Mini 4k - 1 year commitment) will suffice if I frequently telecommute and work in the sector of IT - software engineering, which necessitates a high throughput.

If not, would the Freebox Pop (which requires no commitment) be a better option, or would you propose another subscription? This is despite the fact that I am not a big fan of television.

Si tu veux profiter au max de la fibre (pour le streaming, le télétravail...), deux petits trucs qui changent tout :

– branche cet adaptateur USB-C - RJ45 2.5 Gb/s pour profiter d’une connexion filaire rapide et stable sur ton PC ou ton MacBook (et même ton mobile 😃). Fini les galères de Wi-Fi. Si tu as une Freebox Pop ou Ultra, ça marche direct. Sur Delta, ajoute un switch 2.5Gb/s entre les deux.

– tu peux aussi ajouter dans ta Freebox Ultra un disque SSD, le Crucial P3 Plus est facile à insérer, reconnu directement, fiable... Ça booste clairement le stockage et c'est super rapide pour les transferts (quasiment comme un disque local, idéal pour transférer photos, vidéos...).

But, I think the most important is to know first if you can get a fiber connection or only xDSL.

In the first case, no problem to get an excellent 1 Gbp/s, but if it's not possible, xDSL connection will depend on the speed that could be rised ant that could be a difficulty for you.

Dans le premier cas, aucun problème à pouvoir profiter d'un excellent 1 Gbp/s, mais si pas éligible, une connexion xDSL dépendra de la vitesse atteignable et cela pourrait être un problème pour toi.
