New Internet subscription, among other things, for telework.

In my new residence in France, I'd like to get an Internet connection (ADSL and fiber available). And I'm not sure if the free offer (Freebox Mini 4k - 1 year commitment) will suffice if I frequently telecommute and work in the sector of IT - software engineering, which necessitates a high throughput.

If not, would the Freebox Pop (which requires no commitment) be a better option, or would you propose another subscription? This is despite the fact that I am not a big fan of television.

Hello ! Si tu veux profiter au max de la fibre, 2 trucs simples, mais qui changent tout :

1– passe tout de suite à 2,5Gb/s avec cet adaptateur USB-C RJ45 (ou USB-A si tu n'as pas d'USB-C) : tu auras une connexion filaire rapide et stable, avec une Freebox Pop ou Ultra ça marche direct. Si tu as une Freebox Delta, ajoute un switch 2.5Gb/s entre les deux.

2– ajoute dans ta Freebox Ultra un SSD comme celui-ci : facile à insérer, reconnu directement, fiable... C'est super rapide pour les transferts (quasiment comme un disque local), idéal pour transférer photos, vidéos... Même hors de chez toi avec l'appli Freebox Files, pour sauvegarder automatiquement tes photos par exemple 👍 Si tu as une Freebox Delta, tu peux ajouter jusqu’à 4 disques-durs Seagate BarraCuda (et aussi 16 Go de RAM !).

Et si tu réfléchis à changer d'ordi, prends-en un comme ce Mini PC, avec un port RJ45 en 2,5Gb/s.

But, I think the most important is to know first if you can get a fiber connection or only xDSL.

In the first case, no problem to get an excellent 1 Gbp/s, but if it's not possible, xDSL connection will depend on the speed that could be rised ant that could be a difficulty for you.

Mais, je pense que le plus important à connaître tout de suite, c'est si tu es éligible à une conne fibre ou seulement xDSL.

Dans le premier cas, aucun problème à pouvoir profiter d'un excellent 1 Gbp/s, mais si pas éligible, une connexion xDSL dépendra de la vitesse atteignable et cela pourrait être un problème pour toi.
